Position: Preschool Teacher (twosyoung threes class)Days: Monday- FridayFull time hours: 8:309:00 to 3:004:00 or 5:00Compensation: Salary paid over 12 months. (School in session Sept -May)Range $28,000 to $30,000Benefits: No medical, dental or vision benefits About Us: We are a Christian Preschool. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Lead Preschool Teacher to join our small and vibrant team.Position Overview: As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experiences of our young learners. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curricula, leading classroom activities, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your leadership skills will be crucial in guiding and mentoring assistant teachers and ensuring the highest standards of early childhood education.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of each child in our twos & young threes combination class.Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativityPlan and conduct daily activities that support age appropriate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.Assess and monitor each child's progress and provide regular updates to parents and guardians.Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team dynamic.Maintain open and effective communication with parents, addressing any concerns or questions promptly.Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.Qualifications:· Strong commitment to the Christian faith with the ability to effectively incorporate biblical teachings into lessons.· Minimum 12 core semester (18 quarter) units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) that cover the general areas of child growth and development or human growth and development; child, family and community, or child and family; program curriculum.· At least 6 months of relevant experience as a preschool teacher in a licensed childcare center (Transcripts must be submitted before interview).· Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Ability to create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning· Commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team environmentPhysical Demands:· Proficiency in leading group activities and performing related physical tasks· Ability to lift and carry children or objects weighing up to 35 pounds.· Capability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, push, and pull for extended periods.· Willingness to work with 2 and 3-year-old children and handle diaper changing and those who are toilet training.· Sharp visual and auditory acuity to respond to critical incidents promptly along with physical agility to navigate emergency situations.
