Audigo is a true one-stop-shop for today's modern creators who want to produce great sounding audio and video content - anytime, anywhere.Audigo is currently looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer based in San Francisco to bring new and existing products to our rapidly growing customer base.The RoleYou will be part of a small, fast-moving team of engineers, marketers, and designers building one of the most ambitious products on the market. As a team member, you will:Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing and product leadership to deliver intuitive, reliable, and high quality audio capture products that delight our customersDesign Audigo's products and accessories using 3D solid modeling CAD software (Solidworks) and own and maintain all modelsCollaborate with industrial design to bring product vision to reality, while ensuring Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) specifications and cosmetic requirements are achievedCreate detailed drawings for various manufacturing techniques (CNCmanual machining, injection molding, performance coating, ultrasonic welding, stamping, and more)Execute analyses, prototyping and testing to ensure products are launched on time and meet goals for quality, reliability, and costOwn manufacturing strategy and assist in vendor selection, qualification and managementSupply technical support to Audigo's supply chain to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of materials and finished goodsTravel internationally to engineering builds to oversee mechanical validation, design, and assembly (up to 15% of the time)Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop cross-functional solutionsRequirements5+ years of experience designing products and their mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexesBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experienceExperience building and maintaining complex 3D CAD models in SolidworksExperience using PLM softwareStrong analytic problem solving skills using engineering fundamentals and first principle thinkingStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work in diverse and co-located teamsExperience conceptualizing, designing and carrying through to production tightly packaged consumer electronics in high production volumesExperience working with audio and acoustic applications is a plusPassion for audio or video creation is a plusBenefitsEmployee benefits at Audigo include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a 401k plan.About the TeamThe Audigo team has deep experience at companies like Tesla, Oculus, and Sonos, where we've designed, developed, shipped and sold some of the world's most innovative softwarehardware integrated products.ApplyPlease email with your resume, portfolio and a brief note to apply for this position.
