Description Estimator - Commercial Plumbing in Leesburg, FL Are you a skilled Commercial Plumbing Estimator looking for an opportunity with a successful plumbing company in Leesburg, FL? Ross Plumbing is currently seeking an Estimator who excels in interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and blueprint interpretation. Responsibilities: Create accurate estimates for commercial plumbing projects Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and team members to gather project information Review construction blueprints and project specifications to determine costs Provide detailed cost breakdowns to clients Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling Stay updated on industry advancements, building codes, and regulations Requirements: Previous experience as a Commercial Plumbing Estimator Thorough knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction methods Proficient in reading construction blueprints Strong mathematical and analytical skills Familiarity with estimation software and tools Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Professional certification or degree in plumbing, construction management, or related field is a plus Join the Ross Plumbing team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in commercial plumbing estimation. Responsibilities The Estimator performs the following duties: •Calculate cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost-effectiveness •Prepare material lists for shop fabrication and vendors and order miscellaneous materials required for installation of plumbing systems •Review and qualify vendor quotes and against bid documents to ensure accurate scope coverage at the time of the bid •Perform detailed bid document review to accurately capture/solicit vendors/subs for quotes •Attend Pre-Bid Surveys to incorporate site conditions into the estimate •Perform detailed take-offs and produce estimate software reports •Identify, compile, and submit RFI questions in a timely manner •Consult with clients, vendors, and Project Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues •Collect remaining estimating price data (i.e., management and general conditions costs) •Perform breakout, alternate & value engineering pricing as required •Assist with proposal scope letters for accurate inclusions, exclusions & qualifications •Provide project turnover information afterward •Assist in tracking bid status to acquire bid results •Participate in prime/general contractor bid review meetings •Select inclusions, exclusions & qualifications for accurate proposal scope letters •Provide project turnover information after award and participate in turnover meetings •Assist in tracking bid status to acquire bid results •Determine actual project scope and cost •Set up job schedules and timelines •Other duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: •Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or HS Diploma with 3 years estimating experience or HS Diploma with 5 years trade-related experience •Knowledge of plumbing codes and systems •Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment •Knowledge of Estimating Software, Excel, Word, and other relevant computer programs •Knowledge of standard English written grammar and English usage •Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing •Meet deadlines and plan and organize work •Win work at a reasonable profit •Maintain consistent attention to detail •Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License We strive to be the company where a motivated, skillful person can happily spend the remainder of his or her career.
