Job Description Allied Universal is seeking an Estimator/Solutions Architect to support the achievement of sales goals by providing high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective technical solutions that meet or exceed customer needs. This role involves direct pre-sales support and collaboration with various teams to develop technical scopes, design narratives, and cost estimates. PAY: $80,000 - $110,000 annually RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop technical solutions that align customer business requirements with security technology solutions. Generate technical scopes of work (SOW) and detailed design narratives. Manage estimation processes, interfacing with sales, management, and customer teams. Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and design specifications to prepare compliant solutions. Research emerging technologies to support security integration solutions. Interface with product and distribution partners for pricing during the estimating process. Participate in technical discussions, ROI discussions, and customer meetings. Understand construction divisions related to Electronics - Safety and Security for RFP responses. Maintain quality assurance by adhering to organizational and departmental standards. Play a key role in the proposal development process, including detailed SOWs, device drawings, and bill of materials. Use standardized formats for all design documents to maintain consistency and quality. Engage with subcontractors for labor quotes, ensuring their proposals align with internal estimates. Develop and maintain accurate labor estimates using established worksheets. Ensure accurate and competitive pricing for all system components by interfacing with product and distribution partners. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent Minimum of seven (7) years in integrated electronic security solutions or five (5) years in a pre-sales support/engineering role. Industry certifications such as PSP; or product-specific certifications in Access Control and IP Video platforms preferred. Experience with physical security products, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. Ability to obtain any required state licensing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word). Experience with PDF editing and creation tools such as Bluebeam for device plotting and team collaboration. Ability to travel 20%-30% as needed in the New York City Metro and New Jersey area. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience with physical security products and solutions. Advanced security certifications or specialized training in security systems.
