Our Program Management/Construction Management (PMCM) team is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a variety of infrastructure projects, including rail & transit. The Electrical Engineer will provide design compliance reviews on several rail & transit projects and assist our rail and transit design group on several design projects. Responsibilities: The role requires independent decisions in planning, organizing and completing technical assignments. Collaborates with engineers in other disciplines to augment project solutions. Represents the organization in client meetings and leverages established relationships to pursue opportunities to secure additional work. Actively participates in local professional organization(s). Serve as project engineer, performing in depth evaluation and alternative analyses to support project decisions and resolve unusual and complex situations. Responsible for evaluating the electrical components to ensure they meets all federal and local codes and specifications. Support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews and supporting negotiations for project contracts. Provides cost estimates and budget projections for technical proposals. Support Project Manager(s) and design compliance managers. Manage, direct, and monitor progress of the electrical technical elements within each phase of a project. Provide guidance to other team members. Support the Project Manager/Compliance Manager on the project in reviewing electrical design submittals for related transit facilities. Review technical elements associated with electrical, communications and signal equipment and fixtures, and A/C power and communication components in transit facilities. Ensure compliance to project intent. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering At least 7+ years of experience working on rail & transit projects preferred Experience with NYCT required Working knowledge of New York City Transit (NYCT) standards & specifications Working knowledge electrical power & lighting (including emergency), PA/CIS & CCTV Systems in subway stations Working knowledge of engineering calculations, codes, and standards Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients Able to work under tight project milestones and meet scheduled deadlines Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients toughest challenges High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence TYLin is an equal opportunity employer, and we prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type as protected by federal, state, or local laws.
