PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide electrical designs for capital and non-capital projects at the facility. Hire / manage contractors as required to complete electrical installations. Complete electrical projects within the allotted time and cost. Maintain good communication on assigned projects including monitoring and timely reporting of costs and progress to completion. Provide necessary training to plant personnel regarding operation and controls of installations. Support manufacturing operations through revisions to Allen Bradley PLC code. Informs and interacts with all levels of management through timely and effective communications. Review existing process control equipment to ensure installation meets design; recommend and implement improvements. Review existing process control programming to ensure installation meets design; recommend and implement improvements. Review existing PLC and HMI hardware application and recommend and implement changes to ensure consistency and functionality. Work closely with other team members to design and install effective process control systems as required. Assist team members in investigating safety incidents to determine root causes, with an eye to making process control improvement where practicable. May be required to travel as needed. May perform other duties as needed. Requirements for the role: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment OR any equivalent relevant combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills as it relates to automated production machinery. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Advanced knowledge of PLC programming and Graphic Interface Software Experience with chemical process equipment, including: level transmitters and switches, temperature measurement, automated valves, VFDs, and sensors. Some weekend work is to be expected.
