City/State Norfolk, VA Overview Work Shift First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Sight Center/Lions Sight Center is hiring a Part-time, Day Shift, Administrative Associate. Experience Required: One year of previous work experience in a medical office OR One year or more of previous work experience in customer service OR One year or more of previous work experience in a call center OR One year or more of previous clerical experience OR Associate or bachelor's level degree. Education Required: High School Diploma Hours/Shift: Work 3 days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Day Shift (Need to be available Monday through Friday working 28 hours a week, no weekends) As an Administrative Associate - Central with Sentara, you will work in the Emergency Department or Patient Registration. This position's primary duties include positively identifying the patient, collecting demographic and insurance information, and point of arrival reception. This role allows you to work with both clinical and non-clinical staff and requires excellent customer service skills. Keywords: Administrative Associate, Admin Associate, Clerical Support, Receptionist Job Summary Responsible for scheduling, pre-registration/registration, insurance verification, point of arrival reception, chart preparation and revenue cycle processes for all patients. Functions in a multi-disciplinary environment, which requires the application of excellent customer service skills.
