About the job Sous Chef - Taiwanese Cuisine Sous Chef - Taiwanese Cuisine Phoenix, AZ Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. The client is seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef specializing in Cantonese and Taiwanese cuisine to join our Corporate Services team in North Phoenix, Arizona. This role will involve the food production at the Cantonese station at the global caf, focusing on delivering exceptional food through authentic and contemporary Cantonese and Taiwanese cuisine. This position will be managing the Chinese Cuisine station and must be adept at the latest authentic Chinese cuisine trends. Responsibilities Culinary Operations: Manage the culinary operations for the Taiwanese Cantonese cuisine station, including menu development, recipe execution, and maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation. Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of hourly cooks, providing training to elevate their skills and overseeing daily production to ensure quality and presentation. Menu Development: Develop menus that reflect current Taiwanese and Cantonese culinary trends, ensuring the authenticity and appeal of the cuisine. Communication: Fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate with staff and clients. Qualifications Experience: Strong, hands-on cooking experience with Cantonese and Taiwanese cuisine Culinary Skills: Creating healthful daily menus, with a flair for new and contemporary Taiwanese and Cantonese cuisine Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead a kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Position Summary Leads food preparation at one station of a foodservice operation (i.e., salads, soups). May supervise less than two full time employees. Basic Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent This position offers Monday - Friday scheduling Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions): 1. Do you have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 2. Do you have cooking experience with Cantonese and Taiwanese cuisine. 3. Do you have experience in creating healthful daily menus, with a flair for new and contemporary Taiwanese and Cantonese cuisine. 4. Are you fluent in Mandarin. 5. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
