We are looking for an ATC to join our cutting-edge organization that is amongst the best in Colorado in regenerative sports medicine. This is an excellent opportunity in health care with a world-class organization that offers state of the art no-surgical options for foot and ankle injuries.The Athletic Trainer will be an intricate position working in conjunction with Dr. Thomas Hecker and our current ATC on staff. The ATC will serve the medical practice in a variety of duties including but not limited to: welcoming patients, initial evaluation, medical history, developing specialized rehabtreatment plans to fit the needs of each patient. Time will be divided between the clinic and administrative tasks centered on patient care.Position is full time 34-40 hours, Monday - Thursday 7:30-5:30. We are closed on Friday's. Times may vary due to schedule.Job Duties and requirements related to Athletic Training:Requirements:National Athletic Trainer Association Certification (NATA); State of Colorado license required. Experience, with at least 1 year exp. in a physician office setting, preferred but not required.Bachelor's degree required in related field such as Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or life sciences.Excellent organization and communication skills required.Demonstrated problem solving and work flow management skills requiredAbility to communicate with patients and provide Dr. Hecker and other ATC with patient progressionstatus.Ability to learn all the different modalities in the office and the ability to perform treatment on a consistent basis.Consistent communication on a daily basis with therapy techs in regards to treatment petence in performing upper and lower extremity evaluations.Job Duties related to Medical Assisting:Greeting patients, triage patients for history, medications, document in EMR, take vitals, provide patient education as instructed. Care of patient rooms for procedures, designated supplies, maintaining cleanliness per protocol. Assist physician with procedures. Extensive communication with other physician offices, physical therapists. Pre-authorizations for referrals, scheduling tests and procedures.Requirements:Excellent opportunity for new graduates with plans to attend MDPA school in the future. 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.Must have excellent working knowledge and understanding of medical terminologyExperience in sports medicine preferredPrior experience with electronic health records strongly recommendedStrong attention to detail and data entry accuracy, excellent typing skills a must (minimum 50 WPM typing speed).Excellent communication skillsProblem solving skillsTeam player with positive, enthusiastic demeanorJob Type: Full-timePay: $19.25 - $26.00 per hourBenefits:Paid time offHRA Continuing education: approved programs paid by employerLicenses, Certifications: membership to one approved program (ie NATA) Schedule:10 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)LicenseCertification: Colorado NATA certification.
