We strive to promote from within, offering excellent opportunities for career growth and advancement.Summary: We are currently seeking a Systems Performance Engineer partner in the development process of the restraint system with the product engineer using simulations softwares and tools to develop the restraint components and make sure that all restraint components developed by JSS meets the regulatory and consumer testing requirements.Responsibilities of Position:Generation and validation of restraint component models with FE programsCorrelation to test results and optimization of component performanceCarry out parameter studies, DOE or topology studies for component optimizationBiomechanical Data analysis and Film analysisSimulation and evaluation of load cases of occupant restraint systemsCarry out parameter studies for the correlation of restraint systemsCorrelation to test results and optimization of restaint system performanceCarry out parameter studies and DoE for system performance optimizationAnalysis of test results (crash sled OoP)Must display expertize in seatbelt modeling and analysis using LsDynaSupports the Product Engineering with the component development and optimizationCreates and executes status presenations and participates in project meetings internally and at the customerActively participates in DFMEA and Design ReviewsCoordinates the test setup of the relevant tests with the responsible Product Systems EngineerTechnical project management of an occupant restraint system occupant safety project if applicableKeep up to date with the global Government and consumer test (NCAPIIHSC-IASI,..) performance criteria and testing methods.The ability to integrate between passive and active safety systems.Advising:Advise the project team and supervisor in all questions relating to the fulfillment of the performance requirements of the component andor the restraint systemInvestigation and development of alternative solutions to meet the requested project requirementsSupports the definition and optimization of methodology and processesInforming:Regular status reports on the current project status to the LeadManagerReports problems which cannot be resolved by hisher authority to the supervisor for a decisionAdditional Responsibilities:Participation and contribution to the fundamental developments in the area of simulation vehicle safety restraint systems and component developmentUpon instructions by hisher supervisor, the Systems Performance Engineer is obliged to execute tasks - apart from the ones listed above - which by nature fall into his field of activity.General Skills Required:Experience with the Global Safety Regulations and consumers ratingsSound knowledge regarding all or some of the explicit FE solvers(Self-)motivation and team playerProject and time managementEducation and Experience:BSMS degree in Engineering, Numerical Math or comparable subjectPamCrash LS-DYNA ABAQUS RADIOSS MADYMOExperience with the opterating systems in use (Windows Unix Linux OS)Experience with the relevant pre and post processing tools (e.g. Hyperworks, Animator, Visual Environment, ..)Knowledge in the field of occupant safety and or vehicle crash including the relevant legislative and consumer test requirements for passive and active safety systemsPC knowledge (MS-Office)Background in Biomechanics and Accident Reconstruction
