In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with multiple internal construction discipline estimators, acquiring pricing for construction support services and performing construction cost analysis.District OverviewKiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North AmericaLocationThis position is located in Lenexa, KS. Relocation may be offered.ResponsibilitiesPrepare construction indirect cost estimates ensuring all factors are properly considered, priced, and included in each estimate.Support project manager in development of project schedulesDetermine requirements for staffing, equipment, and temporary facilitiesReview project documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of the projectDevelop a plan for construction for each project Review all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinionsReview estimates prepared by other estimating groups or partners to determine completeness of data.Assist in collection and analysis of man-hour and cost information from past and on-going projects Keep current on various trends and developments, such as new equipment, methods, and procedures that are developing in the industryPrepare studies or reports required by the unusual bid items or conditions.Qualifications Undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or construction-related technology, OR extensive and related work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities described above 5+ years of related construction experience, field or office. Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with complex EPC or bidbuild projects Skilled in Blueprint reading Exceptionally strong attention to detail, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience in Bluebeam preferredOther Requirements:Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.Perform work safely and effectively.
