Title: Project Engineer Location Mountainside, NJ Position Snapshot We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated AV Project Engineer with a proven track record of designing integrated systems on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Unified Communications Engineering, setup, and deployment of MS Teams, Zoom, Webex Support and assist clients with network configurations and backend configurations for the above UC platforms. Review materials provided by Sales, including proposal, system description, BOM (bill of material), and other documentation. Attend kick-off meetings and site coordination meetings. Must have the capability to comply with all safety rules and regulations required by clients for site visitation. Adhere to project schedules created by Project Managers. Confirm final selection of equipment based on information provided by sales, client, and/or consultant to ensure expected system functionality. Generate the job control for Purchasing based on the confirmed and agreed upon BOM. Determine bulk cable and connector quantities and create cable risers. Work closely with and provide support to other members of the internal project team (sales, other engineers, project managers, fabricators, field technicians, programmers, purchasing, etc.). Prepare sketches for the creation of facility and electrical drawing packages and wiring drawings. Coordination with the client, architects, general contractors, electrical contractors, etc., to ensure site infrastructure and furniture will accommodate AV systems. Coordinate system functionality with the Programming team. Create audio DSP files. Review systems in-house during the QA process and commission systems at the client's site upon installation completion. Review markups of drawings and work with CAD to create as-built drawing sets. Additional Responsibilities: Serve as a technical resource for other departments as required. Conduct equipment research and testing on new and existing technology. Provide peer review of drawings. Interface with manufacturers when dealing with equipment problems. Conduct site surveys. Attend manufacturer and industry training in-house, off-premises, and online. What we require from you: Minimum of 3 years of experience designing AV, videoconferencing, or related technology. Professional certifications, such as CTS, CTS-D, and CTS-I. Thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniques. Strong video, audio control systems, IT, and/or networking experience. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Expertise in programming of audio DSP units from multiple vendors. Expertise in loading Crestron and AMX code and user interfaces. Basic understanding of IP networking. Troubleshooting expertise. Able to multi-task. Excellent customer-facing skills.
