Banquet Manager - The Fed at The Langham, BostonLangham Hospitality Group (LHG) is a global hotel company with properties located in major cities and four continents under The Langham Hotels and Resorts and Cordis Hotels and Resorts brands. It is the hospitality arm of Great Eagle Holdings, a leading property development company in Hong Kong.The Banquet Manager is a member of the Food and Beverage team whose primary responsibility is to ensure the success of all private meetings & events, while maintaining a profitable operation, and providing the highest levels of service. Hospitable, welcoming and friendly guest service are essential requirements of the position.Key Responsibilities:Prepare dailyweekly payroll and scheduleSchedule and conduct bi-monthly departmental meetingsResponsible for overseeing successful operation of all function areas and act as client point of contact for all eventsResponsible for inventory, ordering supplies, and the approval of all requisitionsCoordinate assignments for all positions on a per function basisEnsure maximum level of guest service while maintaining Langham Brand standardsProcess all billing and gratuity on daily basisAttend Langham Hotel Meetings and communicate changes to BEO's and ResumesCommunicate with all departments and managers on food service related issuesBe present on the floor and support service staff during all functions Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Hospitality (preferred), minimum 1 year of experience in food & beverage management in a 4-5 star hotel.Make general decisions in the absence of specific directions, e.g. prioritizing workloadPerform activities requiring sustained concentration and attention to detailFood Safety: Abide by food safety requirements and ensures that others do so by monitoring FIFO inventory and visually inspecting food prep and deliveriesExperience with and strong understanding of POS systems.Servesafe & TIPS Certificates preferredUse written (verbalvisual) sources of information, e.g. read reports, procedural documentation, group meetings, and reference materials.Must be able to stand for long periods of time; and also able to reach, bend, walk, grasp, and liftcarry up to 30lbs.Legally authorized to work in the United StatesFor more information about the property and position, please visit:
