Title: Sr Field EngineerLocation: Seattle, WA. (Client covers cost of travel to stores)Duration: 6+ month extendable contractRole OverviewLooking for Sr. Field Engineers - Engineer with extensive networking integration experience and troubleshooting, extensive wiring experience, cable experience (Infrastructure cabling) knows how to do it and how to approach itWireless experience to deployment designing and troubleshootingExperience with Ekhau or Hamina is requiredWilling to travel within the US stores as neededLead a variety of projects for our customers; across data center, enterprise and retail space ensuring all scope is completed and deliverables acquired on timePull and terminate Cat66a and various fibre structured cabling systemsRack and stack network devices, decommission old devices and patch cablesDeploy Fully Built Racks into Datacenters and other environments. Installing all cross connect cabling as stall Wireless Access Points, terminate, test and dress cabling to a high standard.Work with local partners or internal field engineers on more complex projectsMentorTrain newer colleagues so that they can execute effectively on their own and with other partners.Act as trusted advisor onsite ensuring customer standards and SE&I standards are maintained and exceeded.Provide lessons learned after projects with a view to raising the quality of the team's execution.Provide redline documentation updates to wider engineering team for review to ensure documentation is up to date and accurate.Provide accurate As-Built documentation after projects that require them to aid CAD team in delivering final documentation to customer.Maintain composure, always be willing to learn and accept and deliver constructive feedback in a fast-paced environment.Review upcoming assigned projects to ensure all provided scope and BOM meets the project requirements.Be comfortable using internal WWT Tools to access supply chain data and understand where to escalate when there are issues or gaps.Be hungry to expand your knowledge on core network technologies, including routing and switching, WIFI, firewalls, compute, storage, AV, power and cabling.Be prepared to travel to customer sites regularly.Understand the WWT and SE&I offerings & capabilities so that you can articulate them at a high level and spot business opportunities to be referred to the sales team for qualification.Always maintain a high level of courtesy and professionalism with customers.Skills Experience required:Minimum 5 years' experience in the Field deploying infrastructure projects for large enterprise customers for a VAR or SI.Cabling certification desirable - CNCI, BTEC, City & Guilds or BICSIProficient in the use and understanding of copper and fiber testing equipment, including OTDR, fluke, network analyser and wire mapOutstanding communication and organizational skills required.Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully complete required scope to an industry leading standard.Ability to read and interpret MOPs, Cable Run Lists, Patch Plans and schematicsExcellent ability to interpret impact of network changes.Deep experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting infrastructure components. Be adept at fault finding and troubleshooting in high pressure, mission critical environments.Knowledge of how to read and analyze wireless survey results (Ekahau, Airmagnet, Hamina etc) & reports as well as how to correctly advise changes to resolve signal issues and anomalies.Demonstrated experience of logical configuration -install firmware, push configurations, make configuration changes and troubleshoot using CLI & GUIStrong customer facing skills.Strong practical skills.CCNACWNA or demonstratable knowledge preferred.
