As a high-performing discovery and research organization we will help provide "dry lab" functionality, by bridging diligence, execution and translation of ideation and provide "wet-lab" functionality by filtering and generation of biologicalpre-clinical proof-of concept data to support potential NewCo creation, initially with our partner and life science venture capital firm, Scion Life Sciences.We are seeking a talented Antibody Discovery and Engineering AssociateSr. Associate Scientist who will be responsible for performing Antibody Discovery & Engineering (Antibody Display) campaigns at Scion Innovations in support of the company's research programs. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in a small, nascent, dynamic and highly cross-functional biotech incubator founded by a life science focused company formation VC firm, Scion Life Sciences.Responsibilities:Responsible for executing antibody discovery campaigns using display technologies such as phage andor yeast displayExecute proteinantibody engineering strategies such as error prone PCR, saturated mutagenesis, DNA shuffling, etc. to perform affinity maturation etc.Responsible for molecular biology efforts, including cloning & sequence analysis.Performing protein-protein interactions using appropriate methods (ie, SPR, BLI, ELISA) to achieve engineering and discovery program goals.Perform data analyses and maintain good record keeping (ELN)Synthesize data and communicate results with the teamRequirements:BS with at least 1-5 years of industry experience, in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Microbiology, Antibody Engineering, or related fieldExperience with basic microbiology techniques like bacterial or yeast cultivation, transformation etc.Experience with molecular biology & biochemistry techniques including cloning, plasmid isolation, sequencing, protein quantitation, protein purification, andor biophysicalbiochemical assaysExperience with phage display and or yeast display is highly preferredAbility to follow experimental protocols, competence with laboratory techniques is essentialExcellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, excited to work in a highly collaborative environment.Scion Innovations is an equal opportunity employer.
