Job Title: Territory Manager II (Los Angeles, CA, UT, NV)Reports to: Associate Director, SalesAbout the Company:This is a life science research tools company that develops products to support scientific discovery and innovation. The company focuses on providing solutions that help researchers make informed experimental decisions, ultimately aiming to improve the human condition through biotechnology.About the Job:The Territory Manager II is responsible for achieving sales revenue targets in assigned territories across North America. This role demands a deep understanding of molecular biology, an entrepreneurial spirit, and proven success in selling to life science markets. The position is remote-based, and the ideal candidate must reside within the assigned territory.Travel requirements: Approximately 50%, including overnight travel.Responsibilities:You will be responsible for achieving sales targets in Los Angeles, Utah, and Nevada. The ideal candidate will reside in the greater Los Angeles area and have experience with key academic and industry accounts, such as UCLA, City of Hope, USC, and UCI. Creativity in building customer relationships and driving results is essential.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the sales of the company's products within the assigned territory. This includes maintaining existing customers, developing new opportunities, and building relationships.Maintain advanced product and market knowledge. Be able to explain technical details in simple terms and communicate the benefits of the company's products to customers and internal partners.Utilize selling skills to identify, advance, and close opportunities, while analyzing sales data and understanding the life science marketplace.Create strategic territory plans and develop tactical action plans to enhance customer relationships and drive sales success.Utilize CRM systems to develop territory, account, and customer plans, ensuring transparency through detailed documentation of customer interactions.Collaborate with Product Management by providing feedback on product performance, messaging effectiveness, and competitor activity.Provide timely communication and follow-up with customers, consistently exceeding vestigate problem-solving approaches to handle challenges such as customer objections and competitive situations.Support the mentorship of new territory managers, particularly in technical training and sales processes.This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications:BS, MS, PhD in Cell or Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline.2-5 years of successful sales experience within a life science research tools company.2-4 years of lab bench experience in Cell or Molecular Biology, or a related field.Must maintain a satisfactory driving record, valid driving license, and automobile insurance.Proven communication and presentation skills.Experience with MS Office Suite and or similar CRM tools.Salary: The US base salary range for this full-time position, expected to be located in in the greater Los Angeles, CA area, is $115,000 - $125,000 USD. This base salary does not include additional bonus compensation and benefits.
