Additional information about Ampersand is available at Description:Ampersand seeks to hire a highly motivated Business Development Analyst who will play an integral role researching and supporting the generation of new investments within the healthcare and life sciences markets. This individual will work closely with members of both the Business Development team and Investment team to proactively identify and connect with potential investment targets. The Analyst will have the unique opportunity to join a high-performing team within a specialized and respected fund. The Analyst will support the Business Development team through a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:· Understand Ampersand's investment sectors and proactively identify companies that operate within those sectors in the US, Europe, and APAC· Identify key conferences and screen lists of attendees· Understand Ampersand's investment criteria and profiles of potential investment opportunities· Maintain Salesforce database by updating existing company records, inputting new investment targets, and identifying companies that should be actionable in the short, medium, and long term· Maintain database of Investment Banker deals and related contacts· (With training) Engage in outbound deal generation through targeted cold calls and emails, conference attendance, and intermediary firm management· (With training) Work with Portfolio Companies to generate targeted lists of synergistic merger or acquisition candidates· (With training) Funnel potential investment opportunities to appropriate Partner within AmpersandQualifications, Experience, and Characteristics:· Bachelor's degree (graduation date Spring 2025), preferably within life sciences.· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills · Highly motivated and organized team player with a strong desire to contribute to the firm's success· Self-starter with strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail who can act independently as required· Intellectually inquisitive and eager to learn from colleagues, Partners, and management teamsCompensation:Competitive market-based compensation will be commensurate with experience and consist of a base salary, cash bonus opportunity and benefits package.
