Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering with a strong background in commercial Class-A projects to lead and manage our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality, complex developments on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to drive project success.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, project managers, and consultants to ensure the successful execution of Class-A commercial projects.Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support on engineering design, construction methods, materials, and innovations in building technology.Budget & Cost Management: Collaborate with finance and project management teams to develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure all engineering work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure projects are completed on schedule.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental laws.Sustainability: Champion sustainable building practices and implement strategies to reduce environmental impact in all engineering processes.Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the engineering design and construction process and develop mitigation novation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continually improve project outcomes and operational efficiency.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering management with a focus on Class-A commercial projects.Proven experience leading large-scale, complex commercial developments from inception to completion.Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards specific to commercial Class-A properties.Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Outstanding leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
