Our mission is to make the mortgage process as efficient and stress-free as possible for our clients.Position Overview:As a Loan Processor at Lock It Lending, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. While previous mortgage processing experience is not mandatory, we are looking for individuals who possess key attributes such as optimism, a structured approach to tasks, strong spatial visualization, responsiveness, and excellent social skills. Your experience and skills are important, but we also value your personality and attitude.Key Responsibilities:Review loan applications: Analyze mortgage loan applications to ensure all necessary documentation (credit reports, income verification, tax returns, property appraisals, etc.) is included and accurate.Verify borrower information: Cross-check financial documents, employment history, income statements, and credit scores to verify borrower eligibility.Coordinate with underwriters: Liaise with underwriters to clarify documentation or information and ensure the loan meets underwriting municate with borrowers: Regularly contact borrowers to collect additional required information, explain the loan process, and answer questions.Ensure compliance: Verify that all loans adhere to federal, state, and lender-specific regulations, including legal documentation requirements.Update loan files: Ensure all loan files are complete and updated in the loan processing system throughout the loan process.Order third-party services: Request and review property appraisals, title work, insurance, and other necessary services related to the loan.Follow-up on loan status: Monitor the progress of each loan application, ensuring deadlines are met and keeping loan officers and borrowers informed of any changes or delays.Resolve issues: Work proactively to identify and resolve potential issues or discrepancies that could delay loan approval or closing.Maintain confidentiality: Handle sensitive borrower information with discretion and in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.Key Skills & Qualifications:Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.Knowledge of mortgage regulations: Familiarity with mortgage lending laws, FHAVA loans, and other regulatory munication skills: Clear and professional communication with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party service providers.Analytical skills: Ability to review financial statements and loan documents to detect inconsistencies or potential issues.Problem-solving: Proactive in addressing issues and finding solutions to ensure timely loan processing.Technology proficiency: Experience with mortgage loan processing software, document management systems, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).Customer service skills: Ability to work with borrowers and handle inquiries or concerns professionally and efficiently.Time management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Education & Experience:Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.Experience: Prior experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field (typically 1-3 years).Licensing: Depending on the jurisdiction, some states may require specific certifications or licenses to process loans.Technical skills: Proficiency in loan processing software and familiarity with underwriting guidelines.Language Skills: Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in English and SpanishBenefits:Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses.Health and dental insurance coverage.Opportunities for professional growth and clusive and supportive work environment.Be a part of a team that values your individuality and ideas.
