We are seeking a passionate, caring, and hard-working Medical Receptionist Office assistant (reception andor checkout) to join our Boulder, Colorado location in a full-time capacity.Position Summary:The Receptionist is responsible for supporting our dermatology practice operations with a variety of operational duties. The Receptionist ensures that patients receive the highest level of care, our office is run professionally and efficiently, and that the medical provider they me be assisting is informed and prepared before, during, and after a patient's visit.Essential Responsibilities:Staffing check-in desk, patient receptionwaiting room area, and patient check outAnswering patient phone calls, email, text messages and other forms of communication professionally and efficientlyAssisting in scheduling patient appointments, fulfilling mail orders, or answering general questions regarding the practice, its providers, and available servicesEnsuring that patient's are informed about our practice prior to, during, and after their visitRunning insurance eligibility checks and inputing patient date into our Practice Management systemDiscussing offered services and treatments with patients to help educate and inform on treatment optionsAssisting with medication authorizations, and other duties as assignedAssisting in stocking and maintaining stock of skin care productsAssisting in stocking supplies in exam and treatment roomsOther duties as assigned by Office Managers and Provider TeamAdditional Medical Assistant Responsibilities (Preferred, Not Required, Infrequent):Assisting providers in exam rooms during patient visitsPreparing biopsies and other medical laboratory tests for pick up and testingElectronically sending prescriptions, at the medical provider's direction, to pharmacy for patients and as directed by providersDrawing blood; Phlebotomy certification a plus but not required (we are always willing to train on the job)Other duties as assigned by Office Managers and Provider TeamMinimum Experience and Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) DiplomaPrevious training or experience as a medical receptionist, assistant andor other relevant medical or patient care experienceExperience with Practice Management andor Electronic Medical Records software andor solid computer background and skillsStrong verbal and written English skills; bilingual with Spanish is a plusAbility to work flexible hours including 7am start time and 6pm close timesAbility to work independently, or as a teamMust pass a ten (10) year background checkMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedPreferred Experience and Qualifications:Bilingual - EnglishSpanishStrong Customer Service skillsTeam Member Expectations:Regular attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice (infrequently)Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearanceEquipment Use:Computer and other office equipmentMedical tools and instruments, including sharp objectsWork Environment:Fast-paced, high-volume medical office environmentPhysical Effort:Generally, not required, or up to 15 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds infrequently (assisting moving boxes of skin care products)Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the team member assigned to this position.
