Through extensive "Hands-On" experience and technical "Know-How" we have earned the trust and respect of our clients and the regulatory agencies we interface with.Job DescriptionThe Pipeline Compliance Specialist provides regulatory and technical expertise to clients in matters relating to PHMSA (49 CFR Parts 190 - 199) and state pipeline safety regulatory requirements for natural gas, hazardous liquids, LNG, and Underground Gas Storage pipeline assets and OSHA PSM facilities. Specifically, the Pipeline Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing, auditing and updating pipeline safety programs and procedures including but not limited to construction, operations, maintenance, integrity management, risk reviewsassessments, operator qualification, control room management, inspections and tests, emergency response, incident investigations, training and client support functions associated with preparing for, supporting and representation of client's in regulatory inspections and other regulatory matters. Work ConditionsOffice (Non-remote)Travel will vary depending upon business needs (typically no more than 5 consecutive days per assignment and typically less than 50% on a monthly basis).RegSafe personnel typically work a 9-80 schedule (80 hours in the office or in the field during a two-week pay period).Roles & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include, but may not be limited to:Proficiency of PHMSA and State Partner Pipeline Safety terpretation and application of all aspects of pipeline safety regulations (e.g., design, construction, operation, maintenance, corrosion control, operator qualification, control room management, integrity, accidentincident investigation and emergency response).Conduct andor represent clients in PHMSAstate partner pipeline safety regulatory inspectionsaudits.Audit, develop, and edit pipeline safety programs and procedures (e.g., manuals, procedures, personneloperator qualifications, inspections, tests).Prepare for and conduct risk analysis, risk assessments, and integrity assessments (e.g., ILI, pressure testing, UGS well logging).Develop and consult on regulatory requirements, standards incorporated by reference, letters of interpretation, corrective actions, and preventative and mitigative measures.Providing technical determinations, and resolutions of compliance issues arising from client requests, internal inspections, and PHMSAstate partner inspections.Serving as a point of contact or project manager for clients.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or Associates degree with applicable work experience in energyoilgas industries.A bachelor's (or higher) degree in engineering or related technical field or energy related industries regulatory compliance work experience.Mandatory RequirementsMultiple positions are open with varying levels of experience (Compliance Specialist I, II, & Senior):0-4 years of relevant work experience (experience level will determine position placement)Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)Strong technical writing skills.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience with pipeline safety regulations and audit experience in PHMSA or State Agency Pipeline Safety Audits (eCFR).Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) as recognized by NCEES is a plus.SkillsAbility to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.Ability to quickly adapt to and successfully address client needs and expectations.Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).Strong file management skills (follow company file structure and organization).
