MUST:10 years of experience in finance systems management3+ years minimum of that experience managing a team Manager level and above candidates who are ready for director level Has been a leader of finance systemsStrong experience overseeing how multiple finance systems work for a company Bachelor's degree3+ years of relevant implementingenhancingsupporting one or more ERPEPM technologies with custom software solution developmentHas been a part of full cycle implementations of end-to-end Oracle Fusion ERPor similar tool with focus on financials Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Assets, Project Accounting, Expenses and General LedgerKnowledge of project management methodologies using tools like Smartsheet, JIRA, ConfluenceConfident personality and great communication, ability to push back against leadershipc-suite PLUS:Insurancelife insurance industry experienceExperience bringing financial systems in house from a 3rd party Has managed an outsourced 3rd party finance systems vendor Hands on technical experience such as: experience tracking user onboardingoffboarding, staying up to date on patches, etc. DAY TO DAY:Our client, a very fast growing life insurance and annuities company based out of Durham, NC is seeking a Director, Finance Systems to join their team. This role is hybrid in Durham, NC and full time. This role will support the business by maintaining the company's Finance Systems infrastructure along with providing general project management support for Finance projects. The main focus of this position is to act as an SME on all things related to: strategy, design, and implementation of finance and accounting reporting tools, data models, and data mapping within Finance. Our client is looking for a self- starter who can come in and help drive initiatives like bringing certain functions in house, ability to oversee 7 finance systems all of which include a different amount of supportattention, and help build out the team. Communication skills are highly important, as well as the ability to problem solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This person should be able to move their initiatives forward by getting buy in from the leadership. Lastly, you will manage a team of 2 people to start as well as the third party vendor for Oracle, and this role will report to the CFO and interact heavily with the CIOIT.
