Full-Time Physical Therapists Needed at The Orthopedic Center in Palm Bay, FL. The Orthopedic Center Palm Bay is a busy physician owned practice that consists of Orthopedic surgeons and podiatrist. Dr. Gonzalo Valdivia has been in practice for over 20 years and is well established and respected in the community. Our philosophy is to provide care that is appropriate, prompt, efficient and of the highest quality. ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations for The Orthopedic Center patients onlyDevelop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practicesTreats patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and or maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice and evidence-based structs and informs participating members of the health care team, the patient, and the familycaregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programsEducate patients on their conditions and treatment plansCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient careComplete compliant and timely documentation in our EMR system, PromptParticipate in continuous professional development and trainingBe responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to overall effectiveness.Meet minimum utilization goals and other business objectives Skills & QualificationsGraduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program.Master's degree in physical therapy. Recent graduates encouraged to apply A Physical Therapist currently licensed in Florida (or able to expeditiously begin licensing process)Working knowledge of computer and EMR software applications, ATHENA experience is a bonusBasic Life Support Certification from the American Heart AssociationPreferred Qualifications:1 year of proven experience working in a outpatient physical therapy setting preferredOutstanding interpersonal skills, consistent ability to demonstrate clinical excellence, strong desire to develop professionallyStrong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skillsAbility to effectively multitask.Focused on quality patient care with a positive, compassionate perspective.
