With a track record of successful missions from low Earth orbit to interplanetary space, they collaborate with top-tier defense, commercial, and civil organizations, including NASA and the U.S. Air Force.Be part of a dynamic environment where cutting-edge technology meets exploration, driving the future of space missions at a fraction of traditional costs!Position PurposeThe GNC Engineer has full GNC subsystem responsibility for multiple space missions, including all program phases from new business development through on-orbit operations, with limited oversight from senior engineers. They will help support development of new and improved capabilities, features, and infrastructure of the GNC subsystem.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyze, test, and deploy GNC subsystems for small spacecraft ranging from CubeSat (10 cm square) to ESPA-class (24 x 28 x 38 inches), deployed in LEO, GEO, lunar, deep space, and other orbitsDevelop new GNC technologies to support customer needs and BCT strategic goalsSupport continued evolution of GNC processes and toolsinfrastructureSupport GNC hardware selection and performanceParticipate in all mission phases including new business development, design reviews, software and hardware-level test, on-orbit commissioning, and operationsOther responsibilities as assignedRequired QualificationsEducationBS in Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of systems integration and testing experience with MATLABSimulinkAbility to work rapidly with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teamsExperience with running 6-DOF simulationMust be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with emphasis on rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilitiesExperience with configuration management and issue tracking toolsExperience with C and Ruby languagesExperience with Model Based Design and auto-codingPractical experience working with orbital vehicles or autonomous systems, embedded software, and algorithmic designPrevious experience with small satellites, especially small satellite GNCFamiliarity with spacecraft GNC, ranging from orbital mechanics, spacecraft sensors and actuators, and attitude dynamics and controlsExperience with simulatorhardware test development and execution, as well as mission operations is a plusRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of educationBenefits$80,000 - $140,000100% company paid health, dental and vision benefits for you and your dependentsLife insurance401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)Generous PTO and parental leave
