Electrical EngineerOverview Cartken is a startup at the forefront of last-mile delivery and autonomous robotics. Our team has experience solving some of the toughest challenges in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and operations at Google, Amazon, Apple, and Facebook. We have robots operating around the world providing reliable and cost-effective delivery in malls, kitchens, hotels, universities, and city streets. We are seeking a nimble Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize work amongst multiple simultaneous projects.You will drive development of new products and solutions to enable new use cases for customers. We expect strong ownership for delivering to our customer needs, ranging from hands-on prototyping, PCB design, supplier management, and testing at our customers' sites. We're looking for someone who will work hard, have fun, and help us make history.RequirementsPerform hands-on prototyping and testing to validate design concepts and product solutions.Own PCBs, and electrical sub-systems from initial concept through production and deploymentCollaborate with our distributed team to troubleshoot robot issues in the field and the factory.Collaborate cross-functionally with product and sales teams to deliver customer-oriented solutions.Buildmaintain BOMs, SOPs, and other manufacturing documentation.Support builds at off-site partner facilities to ensure smooth product launches.Manage suppliers and ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.Basic QualificationsProficient in written and spoken English.BSMS in ElectricalElectronic Engineering (or significant demonstrated project experience).3+ years of experience in electrical design, validation, and integration of systems, subsystems, and components.Proficient in PCB CAD software (Altium, Cadence, KiCad, etc).Experience taking PCBs and cabling from concept to cluding sourcing manufacturingStrong understanding of digital circuitsAbility to travel to production and customer sites.A self-starter & team player who is highly motivated to resolve problems and help the team succeed.Based in Phoenix and ability to travel Bonus QualificationsExperience with ROSLinux skills with system knowledgeExperience designing circuit boards and architecting systems in a midhigh volume roboticsautomotive environment.Understanding of communication protocols (such as CAN, I2C, SPI, MIPI, UART, etc)Knowledge of electrical simulation software (SPICE, CST, etc)Knowledge of BLDC motor controlExperience characterizing and resolving EMIEMC issues.Experience working with Python and embedded CC++ for firmware and driver developmentExperience with product certificationsExperience with RF system design (GPS, LTE, WIFI), and FCC certification
