Open to All U.S. CitizenJob TitleSeries Grade: Infrastructure Systems Engineer, GS-2210-13Pay Range: $104,861 - $136,323 per yearWork Schedule: Full-TimeAppointment Type: PermanentService: CompetitiveLocation: Norfolk, VADuties:Design, plan, deploy, upgrade and maintain infrastructure technologies in the areas of storage, virtualization and systems with a focus on VMware and Cisco Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) technologies such as VMWare Virtual Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSAN, NSX, and CISCO Unified Computing System (UCS).Design, plan, implement, deploy, upgrade and maintain systems utilizing Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Create deliverables which include Design, As-Built, Connectivity, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other high level and or detailed documentation.Maintain the system, network, and application security in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages and Cybersecurity policies.Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, diagrams, hardwaresoftware lists, and other documentation needed to support RMF C&A processes and related Cybersecurity functions. Provide technical support to administrators of deployed infrastructure and systems. Qualifications:You must have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1). Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; 2). Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Works with customerend users to support and develop software applications; 3). Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Presents trainings on new software applications; 4). Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Resolves software applications issues.ANDYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1). Designing, deploying, maintaining technologies such as VMWare; 2). Design, implement, deploy, and maintain systems utilizing Windows Server andor Red Hat Enterprise Linux; 3). and Provide technical support to administrators of deployed infrastructure and systems.
