We specialize in consulting, purchase order coordination, and customized management services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients worldwide.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Export Department Manager to oversee and manage the movement of air freight in compliance with local, national, and international regulations. The successful candidate will ensure that export operations run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to company policies and legal standards. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that all export activities are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.Key Responsibilities:Manage and develop efficient workflows to optimize the productivity and efficiency of the export department.Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to enhance performance.Utilize reporting tools to prioritize workload and quantify departmental performance.Maintain open communication with export authorities, customers, and suppliers globally to ensure compliance and positive business relations.Collaborate with other departments to align export activities with the company's broader operational goals.Promote and implement organizational changes to improve overall effectiveness and competitiveness.Make informed decisions based on analysis, experience, and sound judgment.Ensure staff receives the necessary training and resources to perform their roles successfully.Oversee branch TSA compliance to ensure adherence to all regulations.Perform other duties and lead projects as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly or indirectly supervise export department employees, providing guidance and support.Conduct performance evaluations and recommend hiring, promotions, and terminations within the department.Resolve personnel issues and foster a professional development environment for staff.Qualifications:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.MUST have CargoWise experience.Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a -depth understanding of export rules, regulations, and compliance standards.Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders.Education and Experience:8-10 years of relevant export experience (air or ocean) within the freight forwarding industry.3-5 years of supervisory experience.High school diploma or GED required.Knowledge of international and domestic freight, trucking, and warehouse services.
