Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Day Shift Onsite Summary: The MRI Technologist performs all magnetic resonance procedures to produce cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes according to protocol and age specific needs. Responsibilities: Performs all magnetic resonance procedures to produce cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes according to protocol and age specific needs. Performs all tasks involved in MRI screening and safety for MRI patients, families, and others that are required to enter the MRI environment. Follows all QA/QC guidelines for all equipment. Administers contrast materials and prepares and operates the MRI scanner equipment and ancillary equipment. Performs clerical duties in RIS, PACS, and hospital computer systems are associated with this position. Rotates call to provide coverage on weekends and holidays and after 9pm during the week. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise Experience performing MRI scanning in a hospital x-ray department or private radiological laboratory is required. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. RIS, PACS, EPIC or other related software is preferred Education and Experience 1. Education: Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is required. 2. Certification: Radiological Technologist license from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. 3. Must be licensed by the state of Ohio in Radiologic Technology. 4. MRI Registry Eligible: may be hired with two years to complete registry. Non-compliance with obtaining MRI Registry may result in termination. 5. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 2 years is preferred. 6. Years of experience supervising: None.
