Job Overview Shriners Children's Lexington has an opportunity for a Cast Tech (Orthopedic Tech) to join our team. Monday - Friday, no nights, weekends or holidays. Excellent benefits. Parking is paid by Shriners, at no cost to the employee. Responsibilities Oversees daily activities of the cast room. Responsible for preparing the cast room for each day's activity, application and removal of casts. Assists the physician with cast application. Applies holding casts or splints per physician protocol. Ability to interrelate with children and families. This is not an all-inclusive list of this jobs responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred: 6 months experience in cast application and removal preferred. Computer and EMR experience preferred. Scheduling experience preferred.
