VP Study Director and Attending Veterinarian Our client is seeking an experienced Attending Veterinarian/Study Director with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join their team. This role is crucial in overseeing the colony management of small and large animals, driving Vivarium Operations, and ensuring the successful execution of research studies. What you'll do Oversee study quotations, resource allocation, protocol adherence, and department P&L. Manage and mentor Study Directors for GLP and non-GLP studies, develop training programs, and increase overall operational efficiencies. Serve as the key point of contact for clients, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and strict protocol adherence. Who you are DVM Degree from an accredited institution and license to practice medicine in California. (If not licensed in CA, must be eligible for state license) Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian with a focus on survival surgery Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Study Director or Principal Investigator in pre-clinical studies or related research fields. Prior experience in a research or vivarium setting is preferred. Previous experience in GLP-regulated environments is highly preferred. What does this position pay? Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $220,000 to $300,000 per year.
