Rocky Point Animal Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist. We are a 5 doctor veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our animal patients and exceptional service to their owners. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about animals and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Position: Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist Location: Rocky Point, NY Responsibilities: Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor. Schedule appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits, ensuring efficient and organized management of the appointment schedule. Answer incoming phone calls and address client inquiries, providing accurate information regarding services, pricing and general pet care. Check-in patients, verify client information, and update medical records as necessary. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and doctors to ensure smooth patient flow and timely completion of tasks. Process client payments and manage financial transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk Uphold client confidentiality and ensure compliance with all relevant privacy regulations. Provide support and assistance to the veterinary team as needed. Qualifications: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with clients and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications, including appointment scheduling and billing systems. A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, ensuring a positive experience for both clients and patients. Flexibility to work during regular business hours, including evenings (up to 730pm) and weekends (until 2pm). Experience with Impromed preferred but not required.
