Sales Account Executive in Training Metro Team Sports is a full-service athletic team dealer. We provide outstanding service and top-quality team uniforms, apparel, and gear to athletic departments of high schools, colleges, universities, and leagues. Metro Team Sports is a continuously growing company that has been in business for nearly 20 years. We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Customer Account Coordinator, to advance into a Sales Representative role within 6-12 months. This position is designed to provide comprehensive training and development in customer service operations while preparing you for a successful transition into a sales-focused role. You will be required to be in the office 5 days per week while in training. This is an opportunity to learn all aspects of the business beginning with order entry, order processing, and working up to being a skilled and valued team member. The Account Coordinator is responsible for assisting their dedicated salesperson and Account Manager to process team uniform orders, ordering products from widely known apparel vendors, and working with our print partners to get the order to the customer on time. We believe learning the inside of the business will better prepare you for the external sales operation. Additional job responsibilities would include: Account Coordinator (training period) Managing customer relationships throughout the ordering process Coordinate with off-site production on a high volume of orders Possess a high processing speed as a routine part of daily activities Organize and prioritize a wide variety of tasks Efficiently and effectively enter and process sales orders using our industry-specific software Sales Account Executive Provide exceptional, consultative customer service to coaches across a designated territory, striving to streamline their experience at every opportunity Achieve revenue goals and meet sales targets effectively Proactively develop and quality leads within the territory through strategic cold-calling and lead-generation initiatives Drive sales growth within existing accounts by ensuring consistent service quality across all sports and levels Effectively manage your account portfolio and travel as needed within your assigned territory Requirements: Minimum 2-year college degree required; 4-year college degree preferred 1-2 years of proven customer service experience in a fast-paced environment Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Quickbooks a plus Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written Highly organized team player who strives to provide unparalleled customer service Can do friendly attitude with the ability to self-manage Detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines Collegiate sports background is a plus Job Compensation: Starting salary of $49,000+ commensurate with experience Health benefits Profit sharing 401K M-F weekday work schedule, no weekends Qualified candidates, in addition to your resume, please submit a cover letter telling us what it was about our posting that made you want to apply AND what skills you are using in your current position that would make you stand out from other candidates.
