Summary:Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and conservation of assetsApprove and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the companyEnsure compliance with local, state, federal and international budgetary reporting requirementsOversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entryCoordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reportsDevelop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing proceduresEstablish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguardsInteract with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendationsEnsure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standardsDevelop and direct the implementation of strategic business andor operational plans, projects, programs, and systemsAssist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required to start a businessAnalyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areasEstablish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating proceduresServe on planning and policy-making committeesOversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and proceduresRepresent the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, and the general publicRecruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staffOther duties may be assignedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related discipline. MBA & CPA license preferredMust have 10+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting positionEMS industry experience is preferred, but not requiredExperience in strategic planning and executionExperience with financial management of an international subsidiaryKnowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesKnowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systemsKnowledge of federal and state financial regulationsAbility to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projectionsWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projectsAbility to participate in and facilitate group meetingsWork requires willingness to work a flexible schedule Skills:Technical competence in and stays abreast of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP and FASB pronouncements Must be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections Knowledge of federal and state financial regulationsExcellent analytical, assessment, and leadership skillsSolid critical thinking and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
