Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Location: Chicago, ILJob Summary:CrimsonXT have partnered with an exciting start up in the battery manufacturing space in search of a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a key player of the leadership team, the CFO will be instrumental in shaping the company's financial strategy and driving sustainable growth. This role requires a hands-on leader to oversee all financial functions, including fundraising, accounting, financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute the company's financial strategy and long-term business plan, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and vision.Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and executive team to guide decision-making and fuel business expansion.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards.Manage the company's cash flow, including invoicing, payments, and financial transactions.Design and implement financial and operational controls to manage risk and support growth.Prepare annual financial statements and lead the company through its first external audit.Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, such as investors, banks, auditors, and regulators.Lead financial due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions or strategic partnerships.Support fundraising activities, including equity and debt financing, and maintain strong relationships with investors and financiers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and optimize financial performance.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred.10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, including experience as CFO, Controller, or VP of dustry experience in energy, battery technology, or related manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred.Strong strategic, analytical, and decision-making abilities.Proven experience in investor relations and working with financial institutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and build strong relationships.Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial processes such as planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.Solid understanding of financial regulations, laws, and industry accounting principles.Experience with fundraising and capital management in a startup environment is a plus.Must be based inor open to relocation to ChicagoWhat We Offer:Competitive salary with potential for equity options.Opportunity to join an innovative startup in a rapidly growing industry.A dynamic and collaborative work environment.The chance to make a significant impact on the future of energy storage.How to Apply:To apply, please send your resume to
