The ideal candidate will have both the technical expertise and the leadership skills necessary to support our client base effectively.The Ideal Candidate:Lead the design of ductwork, piping, and plumbing systems, including performing cooling and heating load calculations.Manage and oversee estimating activities for multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.Prepare detailed material matrices and ensure all specifications align with project requirements and company standards.Solicit, vet, and select proposals from subcontractors, vendors, and other trades.Develop comprehensive project proposals, including scope, pricing, clarifications, and plete bid forms and prepare necessary documentation for submission.Lead management review meetings prior to bid submission and oversee post-bid, pre-award activities.Facilitate handover meetings to the operations team and participate in cost-to-complete assessments for assigned projects.Support and lead Design Assist, Design Build, and Value Engineering efforts.Prepare and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and actively participate in project interviews.Other Essential Functions:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Architectural Engineering (BSAE), or Construction Science preferred. A Technical College Degree is required.Minimum of 5 years as a Design Engineer. Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required, with qualifications to obtain a P.E. license within 12 months.MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access); AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace.
