MKS ' Power Solutions products provide plasma generation and control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing processes. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic systems for high power equipment for the semiconductor processing industry. As part of a cross-functional team, you will help determine design architecture, lead system development, analyze system-level performance data and drive problem solving exercises to ensure reliable designs to meet customer requirements. Learn: system interaction of semiconductor manufacturing tools and generators, sw, hw interaction, algorithms Duties Include: · Design and productize leading edge, high efficiency RF power equipment for thin films processing · Develop system level specifications and architecture to meet internal and external customer requirements · Work with hardware and software teams to develop and design control architectures and system-level features to meet customer requirements · Work closely with customer and other internal teams to troubleshoot system performance · Understand and facilitate Fault tree / root cause analysis exercises and FMEA (failure mode effects analysis) studies What you bring to the team, along with your creativity and hard work: · BSEE or equivalent (open to candidates with an Associates and 5+ years of experience) · 1+ year of experience (school, co-ops, internships considered) · 6 months+ of experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, Agilent ADS, Microwave Office, etc.) · 6 months+ of experience with advanced data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink) It is also nice if you have: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills (creation/presentation of technical material to a broad audience) · High level of curiosity and adaptability to support multiple efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds. A Day in Your Life at MKS:As an Sr. Systems Engineer at Power Solutions, you will partner with internal teams and external customers to Integrate systems and innovate solutions to RF systems for semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will report to the manager of systems engineering.You Will Make an Impact By: 25%: data analysis- using python, MATLAB, excel generator operational data (picture of what is happening in the plasma chamber) 25% do new features (protection for generators, improvement to algorithms as to how the generator interacts with tools and recipes -improve process and protection: MATLAB, request for feature using Jira, meetings about future 25% design of experiments for recreating issues with customers (could be new or existing products within the first year (might need to do redesign) 15%-NPI 10%: Daily meeting with the customer, create slides for internal/presentation • Travel Requirements: Up to 5% of Travel is required. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law."¯ At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
