CATL's EV battery consumption volume has ranked No.1 in the world for seven consecutive years and global energy storage battery shipment has also ranked No.1 for two consecutive years.Key Responsibilities• Monitor policy developments in Washington, D.C. to assess their impact on our global operations; and distill complex information into concise and actionable memospapers for senior management.• Attend relevant policy seminars, conferences, and government briefings, focusing on EV and ESS industries.• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with global government affairs initiatives, particularly in trade and investment-related matters.• Exercise independent judgment to proactively identify and address emerging policy issues related to battery technology, trade and investment that may affect the company's regulatory landscape.• Assist with developing crisis management strategies for potential challenges arising from policy developments.Basic qualifications• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus. Majoring in Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Law, or STEM preferred.• Three or more years of experience working on legislative or policy matters at the federal or state level, with a specific focus on automobile, renewable energy or trade.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to distill complex information into concise memospapers.• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, particularly in the context of global trade and policy developments.• Be willing to travel internationally, and flexibility required.• Be willing to attend political and industry events on behalf of CATL USA.
