Job Details Job Location Administration - New York, NY Education Level Master's Salary Range $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year Description Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City's leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Program Description: Goddard Riverside has four permanent supportive housing residences containing 421 beds for formerly homeless adults, many with mental illness, chronic physical diseases, and aging in place. On-site services include case management, entitlement assistance, medical and psychiatric care, substance use counseling, work readiness training, a meals program, 24-hour/7 day per week front desk security, and group activities. In addition, Goddard is home to a network of Older Adult Centers and Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs) serving over 3000 older adults each year with congregate meals, case management, education/recreation activities, and a food pantry. Purpose of Position: The Licensed Social Worker will produce an exemplary client service system through the development of operational policy and procedures, the creation of extensive resource/referral networks, and the implementation of training methodologies reflective of the best and/or most promising practices in aging services. Schedule: Monday through Friday; typically 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate's number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account. Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties Provide clinical supervision of case management and case assistance staff. Coordinate the supervision, evaluation, scheduling, staff development, recruitment, hiring, orientation, and termination of case management and case assistance staff. Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the case management and case assistance services from point-of-entry. Coordinate clinical services, staffing patterns, data entry, client flow, and resource procurement and crisis management/intervention as appropriate. Provide case assistance, case management, and counseling services to Senior Center and HDM membership, following all agency standards and procedures. Provide individual and group support to older adults with significant needs. Develop policies and procedures by best practices, licensure, and funding requirements Provide focused engagement with community members on entitlements/benefits matters, economic independence, and housing stability. Qualifications/Educational Requirements LMSW Degree with a minimum of two years experience Experience with Geriatric population preferred Experience with Mental Illness and Substance use preferred Experience with assessments required Experience with care coordination required Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be: Able to work in the Microsoft Office Suite, should especially be proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel Physical Requirements Visit multiple sites within the Aging Network Home visits Work Environment Field Work and office work We are committed to building an inclusive workplace community grounded in respect for differences.
