Behavioral Health Manager (PM)

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH MANAGER (PM) Department: Gary Health Department Reports to: Executive Director & Health Commissioner Status: Full Time Salary: $70,000 JOB DESCRIPTION: The City of Gary is seeking a highly organized and experienced (PM) to oversee the development and implementation of the city's Mental Health Community Crisis Services Network. Geared to improve mental health services access in the community and reduce reliance on law enforcement for mental health issues. The PM will oversee the development of programs for the sub-recipients to ensure the objectives are met. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in the human service field Active clinical Indiana clinical license in behavioral health LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCAC, Licensed Psychologist. A minimum of three (3) years' experience in the management of behavioral healthcare Must have proficiency in behavioral health services and delivery, including, but not limited to. Understanding of working with acute mental health populations and individuals having persistent severe mental illness and substance use disorder. Applicants for this position should demonstrate the ability to build and lead an effective team with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills. Cultural competency, experience in providing compassionate crisis intervention to all populations, and knowledge of mental and behavioral health modalities that can be used in the field are required. The candidate must work well independently and within a team setting and possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in written form. Knowledge of Indiana mental health statutes and laws.
