Truck Driver - Long Haul Position type: Full-Time, Hourly Overtime: Occasionally Location: North Grafton, MA Ask Yourself This... Do you enjoy working with your hands in a team-centric environment? Then join us in North Grafton, MA! What You'll Do The Truck Driver must have an up-to-date CDL and a clean driving record. The Truck Driver is responsible for the proper delivery of all completed finished goods to both customers and on site and for ensuring that products arrive safely and on schedule. The Truck Driver will report directly to the Warehouse Foreman. This position currently requires two round trips to NY, each week, spanning from Monday - Thursday. Communicate and coordinate with Shipping & Warehouse Foreman in Grafton and Shipping teams in Niagara Falls and Tonawanda. Obey and follow applicable traffic laws Supervise loading and unloading of product on/off trucks and ensure product is secure Utilize ELD system to report all pertinent driving duty information Maintain documentation for mileage and product, keep track of mileage, fuel and toll expenses Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations Inspect truck daily for damage or maintenance problems Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Comply with truck driving rules and regulations Report defects, accidents, and violations. Interact with customers in a professional manner Perform pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection reports Record product deliveries Clean and service equipment on a routine basis Support local customer deliveries when needed to cover vacation Perform other necessary duties and projects as assigned What You'll Need To be successful in this position, you must: Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Minimum 5 years Class A CDL driving experience Ability to lift up to 50lbs Strong knowledge of safety regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws but rules regarding how often they are required to rest, maximum miles driven etc. Visual and hearing acuity, in accordance with federal regulations Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles Who We Are Washington Mills is built on values that matter.
