Job Title: Strategic Supplier Engagement (SSE) Manager Location: New York, with required travel to the UK and onsite stakeholder meetings Type: Full-Time (6-9 months maternity leave coverage). Job Summary: The SSE Manager, reporting to the Head of Supplier Engagement, is responsible for developing and managing relationships with strategic suppliers to drive value and secure our supply chain for the next 5-10 years. This role requires leadership experience, with oversight of a team of 7, and a focus on scaling supplier intelligence into a core capability within the organization. Executive presence is critical as you will be engaging with senior-level stakeholders globally. Requirements: Proven leadership experience managing teams and strategic supplier relationships. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at senior levels. Experience in supplier intelligence and scaling processes within a large organization. Expertise in analyzing KPIs, contract data, and managing commercial risks. Ability to travel onsite and internationally, particularly to the UK. Understanding of global supply chains and commercial models, with a focus on strategic supplier engagement rather than vendor management. Key Responsibilities: Execute the Supplier Relationship Management strategy, working closely with executive sponsors, category teams, and business units. Lead engagement with 4-5 key suppliers, driving value and fostering innovation in alignment with the companys strategic goals. Bring supplier intelligence to the forefront, transforming it into a scalable capability within the business. Facilitate supplier strategy development, managing the intersection of category and business unit priorities. Oversee and manage supplier performance, risk, and contract management processes. Coordinate virtual and onsite stakeholder engagements, including travel to the UK as necessary. Develop talent within your team of 7 direct reports, ensuring effective leadership and performance management. Contribute to Voice of the Supplier initiatives to enhance the company's reputation as a client of choice in the market. Collaborate on a global scale, with most meetings held virtually.
