Compudopt's mission is to provide technology education and access to under-resourced youth and their communities. We are seeking a dynamic Network Support Technician to assist our operations and community engagement initiatives. The Network Support Technician will report to the Connectivity Manager and be responsible for preparing customer premises equipment (CPE), addressing, and resolving community members; concerns, and issues, (in-home connectivity repair) making house calls, scheduling repairs and installations, and providing strong troubleshooting support in the San Antonio, TX area. There is a potential for travel up to 50% to assist and support other Compudopt Network Support Technician must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, demonstrate accountability by starting with yes.Major Job Responsibilities and Duties: Ensure all customer premises equipment (CPE) is ready for deployment, including quality checks and configuration according to service requirements. Complete daily walkthroughs, inventory, and system checks. Act as a point of contact for community members, handling concerns and issues promptly and effectively to maintain high customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot, resolve, and diagnose in-home connectivity issues. Schedule repairs, installations, and provide expert support. Connect approved devices to the network and ensure they function properly and securely. Utilize personal or company issued vehicle to troubleshoot, resolve, and diagnose in-home connectivity issues at identified residences. Provide continuous feedback to the Connectivity Manager on ways to improve network operations. Collaborate with identified vendors to obtain equipment for network installations. Maintain accurate logs of all repairs and installations. Assist with distribution of equipment and resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED Minimum of one-year experience in wireless network, telecommunications, or related field. Valid driver's license Bilingual in English and SpanishPreferred: Two plus years' experience in connectivity, wireless network, telecommunications, or related fieldSpecial Knowledge/Skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team member. Strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude. Be able to drive a large delivery van and/or 26 ft truck to move equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with community members and team members alike. Strong organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
