7-12 Math Teacher Job Description JOB GOAL: The educator is the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. Student achievement and growth are primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the classroom teacher. The position is demanding, varied and complex. The classroom teacher must be a relationship builder, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and teaching strategies. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Math Education Valid North Dakota Teaching License in the area of Mathematics PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach 7th-12th Grade Math classes. Maintain appropriate licenses and training hours as required. Comply with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations. Focus on making learning viaible through effective student engagement. Work cooperatively with other team members to improve the instructional program. Effectively use computer and technology to support effective instruction and student learning. Evaluate and differentiate student progress and adapt individual programs to meet student needs. REPORTS TO: Building Principal(s) TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position constitutes a certified position with the Stanley Community Public School District. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Base Salary: $49,000 (depending on experience) Fringe Benefit equal to 51% of a family plan. Personal Days: 3 per year (accumulate up to 6) Sick Days: 10 per year (accumulate up to 180)
