B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the International Group located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Marketing Assistant's primary role is internal communications and content development for the company website and intranet. The Marketing Assistant is also responsible for the development of marketing materials including presentations, brochures and other business development materials. Candidate will frequently collaborate with the Marketing Team and International Group Leadership. Responsibilities: Creating, developing and managing market-related content on company website and intranet Assisting with coordination and production of presentations, awards submittals and marketing materials for tradeshows Maintaining marketing materials including project sheets, resumes, project lists and related collateral Coordinating and promoting special initiatives and philanthropic events Coordinating and supporting corporate events, milestones and news Keeping abreast of industry trends Coordinating division-related press/project news with Marketing Team Assisting in event planning and executing Assisting in corporate initiatives Additional duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's Degree is Marketing, Communications or Public Relations 2+ years of related experience Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Experience in video creating and editing Ability to manage multiple projects Thorough understanding of construction and design terminology Capability to problem solve independently Preferred: Strong technical writing skills with an eye for graphics Previous A/E/C experience Physical Demands: To perform the duties of this job, the employee must: Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc. Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment Work Environment: To perform the duties of this job, the employee Must be able to work in an office environment Must have flexibility with hours in order to better accommodate business needs B.L.
