All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected Duties Ameriflight mechanics work on aircraft from nose to tail, which means they are able to gain unique expertise that cannot be found find anywhere else.Perform all manner of maintenance on Ameriflight aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer's recommendations and Federal Aviation , troubleshoot and repair airframe and powerplant components and systemsDocument work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation RegulationsMaintain a clean and safe work areaMay be required to tow aircraft and perform minor maintenance on GSE equipment as neededMay travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, and to provide temporary support for other basesOther duties as assignedExperience Previous experience with Ameriflight fleet types; Beechcraft 99 and B1900, Embraer EMB-120, Fairchild SA227 and Saab 340 aircraft is preferredPrevious experience with GE T700/CT7, PT6A, PW118 and TPE331 series powerplants preferredExperience within a fast-paced, scheduled maintenance operation Requirements Must hold a valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratingsMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be eligible to work in the U.S.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employeesMust be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manualsMust be able to work various shiftsPositive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearanceMust meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background checkSuccessful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checksMust have a valid Driver's License and meet all company insurance criteriaPhysical Requirements Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsAbility to perform repetitive tasksWork Environment May work outdoors, in weather as necessaryMay work near moving aircraft and machineryMay work in a potentially noisy work environmentBenefits Ameriflight strives to provide our employees a good work-life balance and are constantly working to improve our benefitsCompetitive SalaryOpportunity for growth and promotionFull Medical, Dental, and Vision benefitsCompany provided Life Insurance401K with company matchVacation
