Job Description: Please Read Before Submitting: • Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be considered. • Do not submit traveler who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Traveler will automatically be declined. • Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to: • Prepare and package medications. • Deliver medications to different patient care areas. • Control inventory and cost. • Work with Pharmacy automation and robotics. Minimum Requirements: • Facility Requirements: o Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile). • Experience: o Traveler must have previous Pharmacy Technician experience in inpatient/level 1 trauma facility or similar size hospital setting. o Traveler must have sterile compounding experience - required. Please include when and where traveler has this experience in resume. o Epic experience highly preferred. o Prior traveler experience highly preferred. • Licensure and Certification: o Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician registration is required. o CPT Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred. • Education: • High school diploma or equivalent. • References o Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years). • Floating o Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Location: University Hospital, 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792 Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation Position Urgency: Quick Start Shifts: 40 hours/week. 10 hour shifts. Rotation overnight coverage: including weekend rotation.
