Designer 3 (CE Training Director)Ridgefield Park, NJ( Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 WFH)25 Weeks ContractKEY RESPONSIBILITESREQUIREMENTS:Role & ResponsibilitiesAs part of this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating a variety of learning programs within a highly capable product team comprised of content, facilitation, and learning technology. As a member of this team, you will be supporting our fast-paced technology environment with dynamic people solutions. Detailed Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:Work with stakeholders to determine learning needs and develop best-in-class learning solutions that shine just as bright as our TV commercials.Develop, write, and coordinate learning sources and materials working with subject matter experts for specific details.Function as a Project or Program Manager as needed to see learning efforts to implementation.Design multi-tiered learning solutions around products, skills, and behaviors that may include Instructor-led training, e-learning, video, and podcast modalities.Become a curator of learning sources and our content library to support broad employee and talent pools.Partner with facilitators to ensure the implementation of programs.Manage and provide reporting across the training organization.Develop solutions for our Learning Management System with an understanding of how digital learning can be used for various audiences to learn about a large product assortment.Be a PowerPoint rock star who can create engaging and storytelling presentations.Lead meetings and clearly articulate our training roadmap and goals of training programs.We are looking for:Creative: Experience Design and ability to create engaging learning solutions.Collaborative: Ability to work closely with SMEs, gain business acumen, and understand what is needed to drive success in a timely manner.Adaptable: Ability to switch gears due to the demand of the business to meet new and changing deadlines.Thorough: Ability to condense content in a concise and understandable format for various audiences.Position Requirements:The candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Background in retail, mobile, or other product-based OEM's a plus. The ideal candidate brings superior execution ability to drive out content and material with accuracy in a timely fashion to impact our retail partnership. This role is based in Ridgefield Park, NJ, travel approximately 25%. BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development and 4+ years of relevant experience in instructional design & development.5+ Years developing and executing strategies, development and delivery of creative and innovative training solutions that can live up to the company's marketing standards.5+ years of experience developing training in a variety of delivery modalitiesExperience managing multiple projects: planning work, managing requirements, and keeping multiple tasksprojects on trackDemonstrated experience working effectively with individuals, groups, and other organizational units to carry out the goals of a training function.A strong team orientation and a dedication to the success of the team's structional design experience supporting retailsales, including e-learning and rapid design principles; or combined work experience and education. Must have experience developing materials that build knowledge and skill.Exposure and ability to speak to adult learning principles (Bloom's Taxonomy, Experiential development & facilitation) . Understand models of design (ADDIE, SAM); virtual facilitation tools (Adobe Connect 9, Webex); content management systems; and learning management systems.Expert proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Design Premium, including Photoshop and Illustrator.Experience in Captivate, Camtasia, Flash, HTML5, Adobe Acrobat X ProDemonstrated ability to build graphics and rapid video development is also a plus.Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and emerging learning technology.Demonstrated ability to design and develop ARVR content is also a plus.Demonstrated ability to design and develop web-based content preferred.Experience in retail customer service andor sales heavily desired.Necessary Skills and Attributes:Ability to work cooperatively and build strong relationships with peers and senior leadership locally and globally; sharing ideas and developing effective business processes in support of the company mission. Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, and creating effective business partnerships.Polished interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills in the local market language.Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have attention to detail and work effectively under deadlines in a collaborative and matrixed environment.Physical Mental Demands:Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods.Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuitydetail, numericcharacter distinction, and moderate handfinger dexterity.The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds.Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area.May require working additional hours beyond the normal schedule.
