CLASS CODE SALARY $55,600.00 - $82,000.00 Annually ESTABLISHE D DATE September 04, 2024 REVISION DATE September 04, 2024 Summary Of Position The Department of Graduate Studies in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Youngstown State University seeks to fill a full-time tenure track position in Physical Therapy, with expectations of teaching in the entry-level DPT program, scholarship, and service. Specific interest to participate in the Clinical Education portion of the program is required. Candidates are expected to collaborate, take initiative, and demonstrate expertise contributing to a team-taught and integrated curriculum. Qualified candidates may also provide support with teaching and research in the Ph.D. in Health Sciences program. Position Information Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching. Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days. Qualifications and Competencies Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Must possess or be eligible for Ohio Physical Therapy Licensure. Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or other equivalent educational background with American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) approved specialization or another professionally recognized certification. At least three years of clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications: An academic doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., DSc.) in Physical Therapy or a related Health Science field. Experience with clinical education. Experience teaching in a DPT program. Experience in research or planned research agenda.
