The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying patient information, assigning accurate medical codes, and submitting claims to insurance companies in a timely manner. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in contract understanding, fee schedule application, insurance verification, and ensuring compliance with healthcare ResponsibilitiesVerify patient information, insurance details, and confirm coverage.Assign accurate medical codes and ensure compliance with reimbursement claims to insurance companies with precision and adhere to fee schedules.Thoroughly understand and review contracts with healthcare providers and insurers.Familiarize with fee schedules, ensuring accurate application to billed municate effectively with healthcare providers to address queries and discrepancies.Ensure billing practices align with contractual changes in contracts and update billing procedures accordingly.Handle appeals for denied claims when necessary.Provide ongoing training to staff on contract-related procedures and fee schedule / SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required, BA degree preferred.1-2 years of medical coding experience.Knowledge of healthcare privacy laws and compliance in Excel, PivotTables, Power BI.Experience retrieving electronic remittances from third-party clearing houses.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.Working Environment / Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 poundsPay range$22-$32 USDBenefitsOur full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits enrollment after 60 days of employment:Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits: We have various insurance options for you and your family.Short & Long-Term Disability Benefits: Protection when you need it most.Voluntary Accident, Voluntary Critical Illness, and Voluntary Hospital Indemnity Plans: Added security for you and your loved ones.Flexible Spending Accounts: Manage your finances with flexibility.Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Support when life throws challenges your way.401(K): Building your financial future with us.
