Position Overview: As an integral part of our finance team, you'll ensure the integrity and accuracy of our accounting records and financial statements. You will be responsible for recording and verifying transactions, maintaining key General Ledger accounts, and contributing to our month-end closing processes. Key Responsibilities: Manage Day-to-Day Accounting: Oversee the accuracy of postings related to Cash, Prepaid Expenses, Intangibles, Other Assets, Accruals, Liabilities, and Debt. Maintain Cash Reporting: Handle cash reporting and reconcile bank accounts. Collaborate and Verify: Work closely within the Accounting Department and internal teams to ensure accurate accruals and General Ledger allocations. Reconcile Intercompany Transactions: Ensure intercompany transactions and balances are reconciled. Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries, and conduct timely analysis and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts. Financial Statement Review: Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of Financial Statements with US GAAP. Create and Maintain Schedules: Develop supplemental schedules for key General Ledger areas. Support Year-End Audit: Assist with the year-end external financial audit and ensure adherence to closing schedules. Manage Acquisitions: Oversee accounting processes for small acquisitions as needed. Coordinate Tax Filing: Work with the Accounting Manager and Controller on preparing and filing local, state, and federal taxes. Enhance Processes: Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and accounting processes for greater accuracy and efficiency. Provide Support: Serve as a secondary backup for other Accounting Associates and assist with special projects as required. Training: Benefit from on-the-job training and external seminars/classes. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of US GAAP. Skills: Self-motivated, results-driven, with strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and teamwork are essential. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting or standing and extensive computer use. Working Conditions: Comfortable, temperature-regulated office environment.
